Latest checkup

Yesterday Summer had her first check up with Mr Burge since having her closure operation. He was very pleased with her progress and thought her tummy looked wonderful - as do we! He agreed that there is nothing she can't do now - not that her tummy has ever really stopped her doing anything! He doesn't need to see her for another year which is a lovely way to end this very manic 2011 we have had. New baby , new house, new pre-school and Summers operation is enough for one year - here's hoping 2012 is a little less eventful.
As you can see from the picture above Oscar has grown lots and lots and he and Summer have lots of fun together. She really is the best big sister!
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dear Matt, Emma, Oscar and of course Summer! We have a 5 week old daughter with a large exomphalos and have been inspired by your blog. My husband actually found your blog after googling 'exomphalos and car seat' as we wait to travel home from St George's hospital in London. We are still struggling to come to terms with everything and are beginning to think about the challenges of everyday life with an exomphalos baby - the first challenge being how to get Tuuli, our little girl, into the car seat and back from the hospital.

We would be really really grateful if we could have your personal email so we could ask your advice on matters such as the car seat etc, if of course you have time.

Thanks again

Ps. Summer is beautiful! :)
