Above Summer is taking her dolly Pollyanna for a walk along the prom and below they are in Granny and Grandads garden.
Above is a picture of Summer, Daddy and Piglet at Marwell Zoo. We had a lovely day in the sunshine and enjoyed seeing all the animals. Below is Princess Summer in one of her new dressing up outfits.
We are all starting to prepare for the arrival of the new baby in June - Summer is very excited about becoming a big sister.
As most of you know we have a gorgeous baby daughter Summer Hope Rudd who has been born with a serious abdominal wall defect called an exomphalos. Our daughter Summer was born on 8th July 2008 at 10.04am weighing 6lb 10oz. She will require corrective surgery - this will probably be carried out when she is 2 or 3 years old. She was born with some of her bowel and part of her liver outside her body in a membraneous sac. For more detail about the condition have a look on the GEEPS website listed above which we found to be a great source of information during the pregnancy. This blog is primarily a source of information for friends and family (though not meant to replace other communication channels). We would also be happy if other people going through the same experience could draw on this as a source of information.
